Acknowledgement of Country

This original commissioned artwork to be worn by the Champion Pony represents connection, journey, and respect for Country. The central meeting place symbol reflects community gathering and shared purpose, where people come together to learn, celebrate, and honour tradition.

The flowing patterns and bright blues represent waterways, the lifeblood of Country, providing nourishment for all living things, including the horses we care for. The earthy tones symbolise the land, grounding us in culture, heritage, and identity.

In this design, the horse carries more than just a rider, it carries stories, history, and connection. Wearing this artwork is an acknowledgement of the deep relationship between people, animals, and Country, and a commitment to respecting and preserving Aboriginal culture in every space we share.
